In addition to 1 CD-Rom and 8 CD-R/Rw Recorders for CD to CD simultaneous duplication, the DG8-12XHD includes a 6GB hard disk , and can thus also can be used in order to back-up complete CD images - up to 4 images of 650MB original CDs. Images recorded on the embedded HD can be stored as long as necessary for further duplication.

Audio tracks can as well be recorded on the embedded HD, in order to enable best-off compilation and records. A partition of 1,6 GB - equivalent to 2H30mn of audio - is dedicated for this application.
